Season 2 - Episode 2 "Night of Desirable Objects"

When seven people simply disappear in a small rural town, Fringe division is there to investigate. However, Olivia is still recovering from her crash, and is discovering new side effects of her trip to another dimension. Because of this, she is not at her best and almost shoots Peter in the head because of poor judgment. Broyles has taken notice of this and has warned the team to keep their eyes on her. As for the disappearances, the investigation leads the team to the home of a retired scientist, Hughes, who seems to know more than he is telling us. Unfortunately he kills himself before he can reveal anything about the case, but not before agent Jessup learns of his wife and kid dying twenty years ago in childbirth. After exhuming the bodies they discover that the kid has buried down and out of his casket, and is now what is attacking these people. This child has become this way because Hughes altered him in the womb to allow him to survive the doomed pregnancy due to a condition his wife had. After a violent showdown, the team emerges victorious, and Olivia seeks help from an unlikely source.

And where is the Observer. Well I have to say that he is really being a bad sport about where to find him in this episode, it took me about three tries to find him, and then I only found him by accident. In the wide shot of Hughes house just before Jessup finds the bible, you can see the very small outline of our friend looking at the house about the middle  of the shot and then far to the right. I have added a red box around the Observer because, as I have already said, he a pain to find.

Season 2 - Episode 1 "A New Day In An Old Town"

Fringe is back, and wastes no time in getting right back into the grove of the season. An agent from a separate dimension tries to stop the meeting that occurs between Olivia and who we presume to be William Bell. The attempt on Olivia's life causes her to lose her memories, but not her life, so the agent is once again tasked to kill her. To stop this from happening, Peter and Walter try to learn the identity of the agent, which turns out to be quite difficult because the agent turns out to have a machine which gives him the ability to shape shift. This is on top of the fact that Fringe division is being shut down due to unsatisfactory results, so anything that Peter or Walter want for their investigation is refused. This would have completely halted the attempt to aid Olivia if it were not for Junior FBI agent Amy Jessup who has taken a special interest in Fringe division. With her help, Charlie and Peter are able to corner the assassin. After Charlie supposedly kills the assassin, and Peter takes the shape shifting machine as a bribe to keep Fringe open. But as we see in the final scene of the show, the assassin is still alive, and has taken the appearance of Charlie.

And where is the Observer in this episode? Well thanks to his time off, he turns out to be quite hard to spot, so don't feel to bad if you missed him. If you watch carefully at the very beginning you can see him walking behind the car crash that the assassin was in. There is the picture below with a red box circling him, he is in the center of the picture at the bottom. Here is to another great season!

Hey everyone, I was just looking at the season two poster for Fringe and who did I see? Our very good friend, the Observer, is lurking around in the background. As usual, I have added the red box circling our friend, however I have also left a little competition for you guys, just so that you don't get to bored reading this. Another Small Note

As you can see, I have finished all the season 1 sightings, but our work isn't over yet. Sty tuned and watch for the observer in future episodes, and if you see him before I post about it, please comment on this post or the most recent one about where he is so I can post for everyone else who may be wanting to know where he is.

Season 1 - Episode 20 "There Is More Than One Of Everything"

In the final episode of the first season of Fringe, Walter has gone missing with the Observer, and Nina Sharp has been shot by Robert Jones. Now suffering the full effects of teleporting, Jones is forced to speed up his plans to kill William Bell, and so he shoots Nina Sharp to get the fuel cell out of her robotic arm so that he can bridge the gap between our dimension and the one that Bell is currently hiding in. The Observer instructs Walter to search an old beach house he used to own for an item which will help stop Jones from accomplishing this goal. Peter joins his father in the hunt for the item, and together they discover that it is a means of closing the bridge between the dimensions. As Jones begins to cross the barriers between the two dimensions, Peter arrives with the device which closes the portal on Jones, leaving half of his body on either side. With the day saved again, Nina Sharp promises a meeting with Bell. However, after waiting an hour for the meeting to begin, Olivia leaves, angry at Nina for going back on her word. As she exits the elevator, she steps through a portal to the alternate dimension where Bell is hiding and finally gets her meeting. Walter visits a grave marked "Peter Bishop", which explains to the watcher that the Peter of this dimension died and Walter retrieved another one from another dimension to replace him. Which leaves the question, what about the alternate Walter? What happened to him?

Anyway, the Observer is again key in the plot of this story, so you can't miss him. First he is watching Walter look at Peter's grave. Then he is trying to remind Walter about what he needs to find in order to stop Jones, and also hints that, "There is more than one of everything." which we discover later to be a reference to Peter being not of THIS earth. Both pictures are below with the Observer in a red box, but you really shouldn't need it.

Season 1 - Episode 19 "The Road Not Taken"

When a victim of spontaneous human combustion appears, no one even hesitates in calling Fringe division. They come in and discover that the victim was a pyrokinetic, someone who can control fire with their mind. It is at this point that Olivia begins to get glimpses into another universe, which leads her to find a second pyrokinetic, and the man who is activating them, Harris. While attempting to apprehend Harris, he locks Olivia in with the second pyrokinetic who is about to explode. But with Olivia's help, she focuses on Harris and burns him alive. Later Olivia confronts Walter about the drug trials that he and Bell conducted, but he can't remember them.

And where is the Observer? Well if you can't find him then you should leave right now. He can be found at the end of the episode in Walter's lab, just before he and Walter walk out the front door. The picture is below with a red box around the Observer, but if you seriously did not see him, then you really should get glasses or something.

Season 1 - Episode 18 "Midnight"

A spinal fluid sucking vampire is loose in the city, and Fringe science is humanity's only hope. But as the mutilated remains of this killer's victims begin to appear with increased frequency, the team kicks it into overdrive to find this killer, but instead, they find a leading ZFT scientist. Luckily, the killer is his wife and for helping to create a cure he has promised Olivia answers. Unfortunately the creation of the cure kills the scientist, and all of the answers die with him. Or do they? Before he died, the scientist taped himself revealing all of ZFT's secrets that he knew, including the man who funds their operations, William Bell.

And where is the Observer in all of this? Well, even out favorite man with no hair to speak of and an expression that never changes, there is a limit to how long he can go without a good party. He is walking (I was really hoping he would be dancing, sigh) behind the "vampire's" first target in the club.
